Festival Details

Abertawe Festival for Young Musicians (AFYM) is an annual event comprising competitive and non-competitive classes in piano, strings, woodwind and ensemble sections. In normal times there are classes for all ages and abilities held over six days in three separate venues. No festival was possible in 2021. In 2022 there was a reduced live festival and a new online festival.

AFYM exists to improve and widen music education, provide performance opportunities and to support young musicians across the region.
