Isle of Man Festival of Choirs

The Isle of Man festival of Choirs, the friendly festival, takes place in Douglas on the Isle of Man. Following a welcome night in the main concert hall on the Friday, where all choirs meet and make music in an informal setting, Saturday sees classes for Male Voice, Ladies Voice, Mixed Voice and an open class where each choir performs four contrasting pieces of their own choice. The winners of each class perform on Sunday afternoon with each choir performing a 25 minute repertoire of their choice to compete for the "Choir of the Festival". The final is preceded by an ensemble class for between four  and twelve voices.
