Perthshire Musical (Competition) Festival, now known as Perform in Perth, runs for two weeks in March. This will be our 101st festival. We offer classes in Speech, Dance and Music for solos and groups of all sizes. Speech classes include Prepared Reading, Drama, Poetry (including many for Scots poetry), Bible Reading and Public Speaking. Dance classes include Scottish Country Dancing (teams) and Baton Twirling. Music classes include every genre of singing and instrumental music, where we make every effort to provide specialist adjudicators. We also offer Gaelic competitions in speech and singing.
Competitions take place in a variety of venues, including the much-lauded Perth Concert Hall, where all choir and band/orchestras will take place, in addition to the Gaelic competitions, some piano competitions, plus fiddle and ceilidh band competitions.
