2023 Annual Conference
Our 2023 Annual Membership Conference took place from 6th - 8th October 2023 at Warwick University Conference Centre situated on the University's leafy Coventry campus.
We were delighted to have Stuart Murphy as our keynote speaker this year. Stuart is the outgoing Chief Executive Officer at the English National Opera. Prior to this, Stuart worked extensively in broadcasting, leading various channels at both at the BBC and Sky. With a passion for the arts, particularly music and drama, Stuart is a keen advocate for importance of arts in society.
On Sunday, we continued our conversation from 2022 on the use of language and equality of opportunity. Are you supportive of trans people, but worry that you may offend a trans person by saying the wrong thing? We welcomed trans ambassador, Katie Neeves, to share her story with heart, humanity and stacks of humour! Katie shared her incredible story, along with explanations about all things trans, and she shared her top tips for being a trans ally.
You can read more about Stuart and Katie here.
