The primary aim of the Festival is to encourage the study and performance of dance by providing an opportunity for competitors to perform prepared pieces in public, in a friendly atmosphere.
The Festival will have classes for all ages and abilities and entries are welcome from all sources including teachers, schools, societies and individuals. If competitors are in full time dance training then they will be asked to declare this on application to compete.
Each performer will receive constructive criticism from an expert adjudicator, and prizes or trophies are awarded to winners of classes. Everyone who performs at the festival will receive a medal and certificate to recognise their effort and achievement.
